About
Frankford Animal Clinic was founded in 1983 by veterinarian Dr. Lowe. In 2007, Dr. Gillespie purchased Frankford Animal Clinic from Dr. Lowe, and since then, he has provided clients and patients of the Bay County community with quality and compassionate medical care.
Dr. Gillespie is a native Floridian and grew up in DeFuniak Springs. At a young age, he was always around many animals (dogs, cats, horses, and even ostriches). Early in his life, he decided veterinary medicine was his calling. He was fortunate to work under a great mentor, Dr. Blackwood, in DeFuniak Springs.
Dr. Gillespie attended the University of Florida and earned his bachelor’s degree in 1999. He attended the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 2003. Upon earning his DVM, he moved to Melbourne, Florida, and practiced there for two years. He then moved to Ft Myers, Florida, and practiced for another two years. His dream was always to own his veterinary clinic. When the opportunity arose to purchase a practice in Panama City, he jumped at the opportunity to get back to the area he was raised.
Dr. Gillespie loves spending time with his family in his free time. He is married to his lovely wife, Brittany, and they have an 8-year-old son, Christian. He also has two stubborn but adorable dachshunds named Willie Nelson and Jewel.
